My RPLATE Was Damaged in an Accident or Car Wash

If your RPLATE screen is cracked, shattered, or otherwise physically damaged due to an accident or a car wash, the damage is typically not covered under warranty.

Updated over a month ago

This article explains warranty limitations, replacement options, and what information may be needed to move forward.

Warranty Coverage Limitations

The RPLATE warranty covers electronic and manufacturing defects. It does not cover physical damage caused by external forces.

Examples of damage that are not covered include:

  • Cracked or shattered screens

  • Impact damage from accidents or road debris

  • Car wash damage from rollers, brushes, or high-pressure equipment

  • Bent brackets, broken mounts, or housing damage

  • Vandalism or attempted theft

If the screen is cracked, the plate may continue to function temporarily, but replacement is recommended to prevent water intrusion and further damage.

Replacement Options and Insurance

Replacement plates are available through Reviver for physically damaged units.

  • Replacement cost varies by plate model and service plan

  • Reviver Support can confirm current pricing and availability

  • Damage caused by a vehicle accident may be eligible for coverage under your auto insurance policy

Checking with your insurance provider may be helpful if the damage occurred during a collision.

Photos and Next Steps

Photos are often required to assess the damage and determine replacement options.

You may be asked to provide:

  • A clear photo of the damaged area

  • A wider photo showing the plate on the vehicle

  • Additional images if the damage occurred during a car wash or accident

To proceed, contact Reviver Support, describe how the damage occurred, and provide photos if requested. Support will guide you through replacement options and next steps.
