Moving Your RPLATE to Another Vehicle You Own
If you purchased a new vehicle and want to move your battery-powered RPLATE to it, you can do this directly in the Reviver app.
How It Works
Open the Reviver app
Go to Plate Settings (gear icon on the home screen)
Select Remove or Transfer RPLATE and choose Transfer
Enter the new vehicle’s VIN and upload the new registration documents
What Happens Next
Documents are typically reviewed within 1–2 business days
Once approved, you can install and sync the plate to your new vehicle
Transferring Your RPLATE to a New Owner
If you’re selling your vehicle with the RPLATE installed, or giving the plate to someone else, the transfer must be handled by Reviver to protect account, billing, and identity security.
Before You Transfer
Before starting a transfer to a new owner, the current owner should:
Ensure the RPLATE is fully paid off and owned
If needed, Reviver Billing can provide a payoff quote
Cancel any scheduled service plan in the Reviver app
This helps prevent future renewals or charges after ownership changes
What to Do
Contact Reviver Support to release the plate from your account
What the New Owner Needs to Do
The new owner will need to:
Create their own Reviver account
Upload proof of ownership (DMV registration)
Complete the transfer process
A $49 transfer-of-ownership fee may apply, depending on the service plan.
Because RPLATEs display government-issued identification, ownership changes are carefully verified and may require confirmation from the original owner.
Important Notes
Always notify Reviver when you sell a vehicle or move a plate. This ensures billing and registration records remain accurate
If a plate is not officially transferred or removed, subscription or renewal charges may continue
RPLATE Wired models are generally tied to a specific vehicle and cannot be transferred. If you trade in a vehicle with a wired plate, contact Support to discuss available options
