How to Replace Your RPLATE Battery

If your RPLATE shows a “Critical Battery” alert, becomes unresponsive, or stops updating, the battery likely needs to be replaced.

Important: The RPLATE battery is replaceable, not rechargeable. There is no charging port — the battery must be swapped out when depleted.


When a Battery Replacement Is Needed

You may need a replacement battery if you notice:

  • "Critical Battery" or low-battery alerts

  • A frozen or blank screen

  • The plate no longer updates after a restart

A battery replacement resolves most of these issues.


Pricing

  • Plus and Premium plan members — Replacement battery included in your service plan. You pay shipping only.

  • All other users — Full battery cost plus shipping applies.


How to Request a Replacement

Battery replacements are fulfilled by Reviver to ensure proper fit and weather sealing.

  1. Create a support ticket requesting a battery and include your shipping address.

  2. Support will confirm the issue and send an invoice if applicable.

  3. Once payment is received, your replacement battery ships.

  4. The package includes printed installation instructions.


Installation

Follow the instructions included in the box. The most important step:

Ensure the battery door is fully closed and flush with the plate housing. A door that isn't completely sealed can allow water to enter the plate and cause permanent damage.


If the Screen Appears Frozen After Installation

It's normal for the plate to take a moment to recognize a new battery.

  1. Leave the new battery installed for 5 minutes.

  2. If the plate doesn't restart on its own, press and hold the Home Button for 10 seconds to reboot.

This is expected behavior and does not indicate a problem with the battery or installation.
