Installation: Battery vs. Wired Plates

RPLATE installation depends on which model you have. Battery and Wired plates install very differently, and not all plates are designed for self-installation.

This article explains what you can install yourself, where to find guides, and when professional installation is required.

Battery RPLATE: Self-Installation Supported

Battery-powered RPLATEs are designed for customer self-installation.

  • Installation instructions are included in the box

  • Step-by-step guides and videos are available in the Reviver Help Center and app

  • No special tools or vehicle wiring are requires

Wired RPLATE: Professional Installation Required

Wired RPLATEs are not intended for self-installation in most cases.

These plates connect directly to vehicle power. Because of this:

  • Professional installation is required in nearly all situations

  • Self-installation attempts may fail or cause vehicle issues

  • Installation instructions are not provided for DIY installs
